The inaugural meeting of the Australian Local Government Women’s Association Tasmania Branch was held in August 1978 in the Launceston Town Hall
Membership is open to any person who supports the objectives of ALGWA and new members are warmly welcomed. The Branch holds a minimum of four meetings per annum at various locations across the State including the Annual General Meeting. Meetings include Guest Speakers, healthy debate, discussion, networking, mentoring, support and training opportunities.
