Former NT President receives Australian Honour
ALGWA is delighted to announce that Helen Galton, former Alderman for the City of Darwin, has been awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for services to local government and the community of Darwin.
Helen was instrumental in establishing the Northern Territory branch of this organisation in 2006, and from then until 2015 served on the committee in various positions including President, Treasurer and Secretary. She also served as the NT delegate to the National Board from 2006-2008, and for the next two years as the substitute delegate. Congratulations Helen!
