Help requested with women's medical condition

We have received the request below and are reproducing it here as requested.

Endometriosis is a gynaecological disease that affects up to 1 in 10 women. This disease can have significant impacts on family, work and social life.

I am a PhD student at the Jean Hailes Research Unit at Monash University (supervised by Professor Jane Fisher, Dr Heather Rowe and Associate Professor Louise Roufeil). My PhD project "Endometriosis Management in Australia - policy, practice and women's experiences" explores how women in Australia manage endometriosis and the role that self-management might play in this process. One of the components of the project is a national survey aimed at obtaining data for Australian women with endometriosis including questions relating to health, medical history, treatment, use of health services, pelvic pain, self-management and experiences of endometriosis. The survey has been approved by the Monash University Human Research Ethics Committee (number: 2017-1166) and has been constructed so that data from this survey can be compared to international studies.

We are interested in ensuring that all women with the disease have an opportunity to have their say on the national survey.
